NOPI Nats 2003 Contest - Burn Out Madness

There's more to do at the NOPI Nationals, held every September at Atlanta Motor Speedway, than in the entire state of Idaho. One of those things is the smokiest of smoky burnout contests. It's so much fun, this year we decided to sponsor the damn thing. That's right, it was the Sport Compact Car burnout contest and it was more fun than the ballroom dancing competition we sponsored last year.

So enjoy the tire destruction. And don't forget to congratulate Jose Samaniego of Jonesboro, Ga., who won the smokefest on Saturday in his Mustang, and Eddy Sanford of Whitesburg, Ga., who took home the gold on Sunday in his 10-second 1992 F-150 pickup. Way to go, guys.
