What ingredients do you need for a sick party? Fuzion thinks it has the recipe. This November, take a trip to Pomona for a day of cars, music, dancing and much more as the Fairplex hosts the Extreme Autofest.
To light things off, a huge car show brings the bling. Judges will award trophies and cash prizes as both imports and domestics try to outshine one another for the green. Hundreds of cars are expected to show up, and with thousands of dollars on the line, the best will be there. Along with the cars, vehicles will also come in the two-wheeled variety, with a motorcycle show of customized bikes with everything from Aprilia to Yamaha.
How about some music to get things rolling? DB Drag drag cars, with enough wattage to power a small city and enough sound to make the shuttle launch sound like a sparkler, will blast the Fairplex with the power of a thousand subs. Or, if scratching is your thing, DJs will be spinnin' the tables and battling each other for cash prizes and recognition in the nationwide DJ competition. Finally, live bands will perform to round out the tunes selection.
Of course, where there's music, there's dancing. What was once a safe alternative to gang warfare will now be entertainment, as B-boys will tear up the floor and bust out their best moves in the break dancing competition.
If all that isn't extreme enough, pro BMX bikers and skateboarders will bring their skills to the Street Jam. Kickers, rails and quarter-pipes will help the athletes defy gravity and wow the crowd with all sorts of feeble grinds, kickflip nose manuals, and maybe even a fufanu or two. Bring a helmet.
Finally, if you're anything like us, there's one last ingredient to make this party complete-females. Lot's of 'em. Hot ones too-the model type. Expect to see plenty of scantily clad women all over Fairplex. Maybe they'll even let you take a picture with them. You should wipe off that drool first, though.
The PlaceThe Fairplex is a fantastic facility. The Los Angeles County Fair, along with more than 300 other events, set up at the venue each year. The grounds are humongous and first-rate. Getting there is easy, and visiting www.fairplex.org/fp and clicking on "Driving Directions" makes it even easier.
More Things To DoYou may need to brave the Los Angeles freeways to get to the action, but it's worth the trip. L.A. has some of the best clubs, bars and lounges in the country.
