TX 2K5 Toyota Supra Event - Supra Gathering

Everything's bigger in Texas: the hair, the guns and, as proved at the largest MK IV Supra meet in the country, the horsepower figures. About 250 cars showed up from all over the country for TX2K5, a three-day gathering of Supras doing stuff they do well. This includes dynoing, drag racing, road racing, sitting next to each other in parking lots, and, um, cruising around late at night. Not necessarily in that order.

The quality of cars was compelling. We wish other enthusiast groups would invest similar degrees of care, and attention to detail and execution in their cars because these virtues are independent of money. Peter Blach, whose black Supra is featured in this issue, was again responsible for the sixth such installment of this meet. The event was exquisitely planned and executed, and left us with newly skewed definitions of fast and powerful.
