Last December 12, SCC along with its sister magazines, Eurotuner, Honda Tuning, Super Street and Turbo put on the Motor Skills Challenge. The idea behind the Toyo Tires sponsored event was to have readers bring their own cars out to California Speedway in Fontana, Calif. and test their skills, in their own rides, against a Pro Driver that we picked.
While we're always looking for an excuse to get on the track, watching a bunch of amateurs having their asses' handed to them by a pro driver sounds pretty lame. So, instead we went and picked our own five drivers to come out with their own cars and strut their stuff against our Pro driver, James Hickerson of Eibach.
Each car would be driven back to back by the owner and then Hickerson on California Speedway's infield road course, competing for the fastest time.
We picked cars of varying platforms ranging from daily-drivers to full-caged drift cars. The owners were just as diverse, coming from everywhere in the industry with various levels of racing experience.
The list goes like this:

Car: 2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi
