More than 1,300 Subarus and 2,300 Subaru enthusiasts made the pilgrimage to Stafford Motor Speedway in Stafford Springs, CT, for the sixth-annual Wicked Big Meet, which has become the largest Subaru enthusiast gathering in America. This event is the Woodstock of the Subaru community, with enthusiasts driving from as far as Canada and the Midwest.
The Wicked Big Meet featured all sorts of entertainment: a car show, tech seminars, an exhaust competition and NASA NorthEast ride-alongs with EFI Logics, AZP Installs and WilZig racing. The ride-alongs gave enthusiasts the opportunity to sit shotgun with some of the best drivers from NASA NorthEast in fully race-prepped Subarus on a closed circuit, and it only cost $20 — sure beats Six Flags.
This event not only brings out enthusiasts but vendors from all around North America to show off their latest products and answer questions. Add the killer deals that were only available during the show, and many Subaru enthusiasts were left with empty wallets (but also some sweet parts).
If you’re looking for an event to attend that will satisfy all of your Subaru needs, then Wicked Big Meet is for you. Check out wickedbigmeet.com for information about next year’s event.
