1991 Nissan Sentra SE- Rally/Streetcar

This '91 Nissan Sentra SE Is A Family Car, A Daily Driver, A Road Racer, A Hill Climber And A Rally Car. Wait, It Has Also Gone Ice Racing.

Mather's eight-point roll cage was designed to meet ProRally requirements. Accordingly, 1.5-inch tubing was used, and all points are gusseted. As for "interior decoration," Sparco does the honors with its racing buckets, and VDO and Autometer gauges grace the instrument panel.

Thanks to a number of weight-management strategies, including relocating the Optima battery to the trunk, Mather's ultra-Sentra boasts a front/rear weight distribution of 58.5/41.5-compared with 68/32 stock. According to Legere, "it almost feels like a rear-wheel-drive car now."

But this car looks and sounds quite unlike any other car on the street or the track. Touching 125 mph down Lime Rock's legendary "No Name Straight" Mather's '91 Sentra SE becomes a blue and yellow blur which Mather has learned to love as he attempts to race the wheels off his little Nissan.
