All In The Family - 1971 Nissan 240Z

1971 Nissan 240Z Interior

Precious few changes were made to the all-new interior of the car. An AutoMeter SportComp 160mph speedo and 10,000rpm tach reside in the stock locations. When a distraction is required to stay out of the sweet-six's song, an Alpine head unit pushes tunes through one of their graphic EQ's, a 6x300-watt ADS amp, and out MB Quart 6.5-inch two-way drivers. Ten inches of Gallo subwoofer fill in the low notes. The view from the outside is even more classic. No "combat" body cladding, nor "flying dancer" wings. Just the pure lines as laid down by Mr. Matsuo's design team. Those with the sharpest eyes may note Nissan Comp taillight lenses, and Hella H4 headlamps, but that would be all.

Long before bureaucratic ninnies mandated seatbelt use, knew about airbags or even got too serious about speed limits, Keith Tisherman discovered the joy of motoring in one of it's most pure forms. This joy was shared with his brother, Jeffrey, who passed away in January 2005, and to whom the car is dedicated. One day soon, Keith hopes to pass on the feeling to his two children too; threading the needle through West Los Angles traffic.
