Chassis braces are built and installed. The subframe bushings are polyurethane. The trunk liner is removed and the spare tire mount is unwelded... ...in preparation for the extra steel in this photo. Extra OEM pieces are sanded and welded atop the existing trunk metal. When the welding is done, sound deadening material is added. Reinforced steel plates and OEM pieces are cut, mirroring paper templates. The metal is then chamfered and welded into place. Note the completed steel plates installed along with the OEM pieces. The finished product is painted pretty. Down come the subframe and stock suspension braces for some extreme reinforcing.
