Suspension Combination
Koni and Eibach have developed an integrated suspension system that combines Koni's Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) shock technology with Eibach's Pro-Kit springs. Lower your car 1 to 1.5 inches (depending on the vehicle), so it looks cool and improves your car's ride and driving characteristics. In the FSD system, a parallel valve reacts to high-frequency disturbances, momentarily reducing damping force. When low-frequency ride control is needed, the shocks automatically return back to the main damping mode. FSD shocks complement Eibach's Pro-Kit springs, taking advantage of the increased spring rate and lower center of gravity. The result is a precision-tuned package with increased performance throughout the entire working range of the suspension system. Current applications include various models of Audi, BMW, Mazda, Mercedes, Volvo and Volkswagen.

Unleash the Boost
Alpine Developments' Stage III Hyundai 2.7-liter V6 supercharger system is available for the Hyundai Tiburon, Santa Fe and Sonata. The kit takes the base-level 181bhp engine and adds a 10psi supercharger, for a significant increase in power, says the company. It features an Eaton fourth-generation MP62 supercharger, Alpine Developments supercharger manifold, integrated Laminova-core air-to-water intercooler, water radiator, high-capacity water pump with reservoir and water lines, a serpentine belt to drive the accessories and supercharger,pretuned UniQ unichip, piggyback fuel/timing controller, four 290cc/min main injectors, and a custom throttle body manifold integrating a new 650cc/min seventh-injector. Fuji Racing's Honda S2000 direct bolt-on Individual Racing Throttle Body Kit offers excellent throttle response and added flow due to more throttle volume compared to a single throttle intake system, says the company. HKS introduces its new 280-degree duration intake and exhaust camshafts for the Mitsubishi Evo VIII's 4G63 and Toyota Supra's 2JZ-GTE engines. HKS high-performance camshafts are CAD-designed to optimize torque and horsepower over the widest possible power band, claims the company. Each camshaft application is offered in multiple profiles, with their own lift and duration characteristics to suit various levels of tuning. Lower profiles offer gains in power and a broad, usable powerband with little compromise in driveability.Higher profiles offer greater increases in power, but are tailored for the higher-rpm range and racing applications. HKS camshafts are machined from new billet cores that are constructed from a high-nickel-content iron alloy. They are direct replacements and are compatible with factory valvetrain components.
