* Wally Parks, 94, founder and long-time leading light of the NHRA, died in late September 2007. Our condolences go to his family and our thanks go to the late Mr. Parks for a life well lived.
* BMW is reportedly looking at bringing a four-cylinder version of its new 1-Series coupe to the United States, in order to have a sub-$30,000 machine in its range. Currently, the 1-Series is slated to ship in 128i and 135i six-cylinder forms.
