2003 Nissan 350Z - Giovanny Alfonso

A fine example of a Z done right.

Giovanny Says: I love this car. Ever since they came out, I’ve always wanted one. After saving up for a few years, I was finally able to buy the Z I always wanted. It was used, but it was in great shape and had super-low mileage. The car is my daily, so it takes me to school and work every day — I didn’t want to take it overboard. I soon started attending HPDE events at my local track. All was going great until I scraped the safety tires at 80+ mph. The entire driver side of the car was destroyed. Luckily, it was only cosmetic damage and I drove the car home that day.

I was even luckier that insurance gave me money to fix it. I gathered all the OEM parts for the rebuild and I had the car completely stripped and painted the factory color. Now the finished product stands before you. The stock body lines of the Z are so sexy and I didn’t want to change them one bit, that’s why I stayed away from the bodykits and wings. All the Z needs is the correct stance and a nice set of wheels. It’s done for now, but eventually I’ll throw some forced induction and a big brake kit into the mix. Racing is going to have to wait for now until I finish school and can afford a dedicated track car.
We Say: A fine example of a Z done right. No gaudy bodykits or exterior bits. The Z flows so well, especially with a nice set of TE37 wheels like these. For a daily driver, we wouldn’t have a 350Z any different.
