Year-To-Year Changes1994:No changes on Turbo models, but normally aspirated cars got a numerically higher final-drive ratio.
 No changes.
Turbo models lost the six-speed manual gearbox because they failed to meet stricter emissions laws, so all Turbos got four-speed automatics with sport-shift mode. Minor changes were made to the interior and option list.
All 1997 models were sold as limited-edition, 15th Anniversary models .The Anniversary package included a rear spoiler, premium cassette stereo, special floor mats, and limited-edition exterior badging. Turbo models once again were offered with the six-speed manual transmission. Head- and taillights received a new graphite surround rather than the previous chrome, and all Turbo models sported "Turbo" badging. All Supras also received additional frame strengthening and sound-deadening material.
Final year for the Supra. Again, because of emissions regulations, no turbocharged models were available in California-emission states, and only automatic non-turbos were sold in those areas. Normally aspirated models got Variable Valve Timing with intelligence, which bumped horsepower to 225, a 5-hp increase. For 1998, all Toyota radio head units were redesigned.
