Someone named Jared Arter writes us and, with commendable brevity, says "Hey, check out this site. www.focussport.com. And then go to www.focaljet.com." Well, we did as asked.
We've mentioned Focus Sport before (and surely will again later), but we hadn't bolted ourselves to Focal Jet yet. And Focal Jet is essentially a big site for people addicted to the Ford Focus.
Apparently that's a lot of people.
Frankly, so much of Focal Jet was new when we went in there that it was either not working yet or scantly supported. However, it looks promising. And the big saving grace is the message boards are absolutely swamped with Focus Pullers (a term we're swiping from the movie industry) yacking about everything and anything related in some way to Ford's hugely popular car.
The message boards alone are worth the site.
* Team Ballistek www.teamballistek.comMark Truong's e-mail spoke tenderly to our hearts. "Team Ballistek is a car club based in Detroit," he writes. "My buddy just redid the site and it has hot girls and cars. Hope you like it."
Dude, there's only two babes on the site. Two. That's like only two more than none.
But we'll give Truong's bud the praise he deserves for some really sweet HTML coding. This is a professional-looking, slick-running and fine-sounding site. The message boards are pretty skimpy, but the links are a solid start for Michiganders looking for performance information and the photos in the "Vault" are some-what amusing.
