Grand Am Street Tuner (ST) Class in 2010

Grand Am GT Series competition is in the right place at the right time. It offers cost-effective pro competition in cars that rely greatly on factory-issued parts, a plus for manufacturers that want to illustrate their racing prowess with actual production cars.

Kia is looking to make an impression with a purpose-built Forte Koup serving as the platform. Built by the Atlanta-based Kinetic Group, the pair will participate in the ST Class (Street Tuner) in the '10 Koni Grand-Am Sports Car Challenge.

Infinity Audio, which supplies audio systems in several Kia vehicles, has joined the effort as co-sponsors. Decorated drivers Andy Lally and Nic Jönsson have been signed up to drive the Koups and the season starts at Daytona International Speedway on January 29, 2010.
