Titan Motorsports worked its magic again as its impressive Street Class Supra was readied for battle at a December NSCRA event at Palm Beach International Raceway. The Toyota was updated and re-tuned to break its own record of 7.71 seconds. The Titan crew rolled into the Raceway untested but unfazed. The Supra laid down a 4-second eighth-mile, a benchmark in drag racing, but the engine shut off at about 1,000 feet. The next run netted a record-breaking 7.66 at 188.44 mph, despite having the car's nitrous bottle run dry near the 1,000-foot marker. The team is also prepping a Scion tC for the '10 ADRL season, and it may pop up at other drag race events.
