New Zealand-born Los Angeles resident Miriam Macmillan hot-shoed the Hondata CRX into the famed Bonneville Salt Flats 200-mph Club at the August 2010 Speedweek time trials. The F/FCC class CRX motivated by a nitrous-boosted 2.1-liter K20 bumped the class bar to 204.364 mph (two-run average), shattering the old mark by 28 mph, which is light years in land-speed terms. Miriam is the third New Zealander and first NZ woman to earn an iconic 200-mph hat (behind her husband Doug, who earned his in 2008). Qualification for the 200-mph club consists of not only exceeding 200 mph, but also breaking an existing record.
Miriam and the Hondata CRX set four different class records during the week, a testament to the reliability of Honda engines and the hard work of the Hondata team, which was running two cars on the salt for Speedweek.
