Nissan Europe is busting out the blowtorches and unleashing an engine swap normally left to the crazies in the aftermarket. The project, executed in conjunction with UK-based RML Motorsport, stuffs the monster GT-R drivetrain into the mini Juke platform.
The plan calls for the metamorphosis of two Juke-Rs, one left-hand drive and one right-hand drive, and the exercise is being pitched as a barometer of the public’s reaction to a “sporty” version of the Juke. Really, who is going to vote against 530 hp, a 6-speed dual clutch gearbox and performance-minded AWD? The Juke-R will also incorporate a full body kit, 20-inch Rays wheels, race seats, a rollcage and parts of the very trick GT-R gauge cluster. It’s all win-win.
