Qualcomm is excited to announce it is working with the Guinness Book of World Records for the Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge. At this year's E3, we're attempting to set the Guinness World Record for the longest video games marathon playing on a tablet -- ever. The Snapdragon all-in-one processor brings unparalleled power to help gamers experience amazing speed and graphics for the 26 hours they'll be playing. We'll be joined by our friends at AT&T, and feature games from Gameloft, Halfbrick, Sega, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc., Glu and Com2Us. The two-day tournament will be held from June 5 to 6 during E3 2012 in the Gilbert Lindsey Plaza in front of the LA Convention Center. Gamers will be able to experience a variety of games on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9. For those hoping to enter the Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge, Qualcomm is holding a qualifying round on Tuesday, May 22 at Lexington Social House in Hollywood. The top 50 gamers will automatically qualify to play in the record attempt at E3. During the Snapdragon Gaming World Record Challenge at E3, gamers will have a chance to win a number of prizes - up to $50,000 in cash prizes and some cool swag (see official rules for prize breakdown), including the grand prize of $20,000.
