The Racing Beat cat-back exhaust is beautifully constructed and, more importantly, yields a significant boost in power without an obnoxiously loud engine note (a serious worry with a rotary).

The beautifully constructed M2 Performance cold air box houses two K&N filters (one for each turbo) and has fittings for the air pump and twin blow-off valves. The complex construction is necessary to draw air from the only cold source available--a narrow slit next to the radiator.

The stock RX-7 already has a knock sensor, but it's sensitivity and limited authority make it insufficient for modified engines. Also, the stock sensor is attached to the front rotor housing, and the majority of blown apex seals happen on the rear rotor. We added a J&S Safeguard knock sensor to the rear housing as extra insurance.

The stock downpipe (which contains a small pre-cat) is restrictive and retains heat in the engine compartment. The pre-cat also tends to deteriorate and clog, making the restriction worse. The M2 downpipe makes a huge difference in performance.
