Oct1204__Sinbad "BRAKES" Out the Comedy!
From Star Search to SEMA, One of Stand-Ups Biggest Names Will Entertain at the 2004 SEMA Industry Awards Banquet
DIAMOND BAR, Calif. (September, 2004) From his big break on Star Search, to a loyal following with sold-out comedy shows, to becoming one of America’s best-loved and funniest comedians to national stardom in television and film, Sinbad now has a new job. SEMA, the Specialty Equipment Market Association, has booked him as the star attraction for the 2004 SEMA Industry Awards Banquet, Thursday, November 4th at the Las Vegas Hilton Center.
“If new products, live demonstrations, a host of educational seminars and sectionalized market exhibits aren’t enough to make SEMA Show 2004 more exciting than your average attendee can handle, we have brought them Sinbad,” said Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president, marketing and communications. “The awards banquet is important and we want to treat it as such. Bringing a top-notch entertainer such as Sinbad into the mix makes the event a special one for everyone attending.”
Standing 6’5” tall, Sinbad is more than a comedian. He creates material by telling real-life stories that touch on individual quirks and poke holes in certain lifestyles. His delivery is explosive; his phrasing is manic-and-musical; and his comedy large, physically animated and impetuous. Above all, his prioritized family values is what motivates him to produce and present clean, family-style humor that is well-received by audiences everywhere.
A reception starts off the banquet from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Dinner will follow at 7:30 p.m. with entertainment and the SEMA awards interspersed. The banquet honors inductees to the SEMA Hall of Fame, New Products Award winners, Manufacturer’s Rep of the Year, Warehouse Distributor of the Year, and SEMA Person of the Year.
“This is a celebration of all that SEMA Show has become. It is now a truly star-studded event,” MacGillivray said.
