Keep CoolStillen's new 350Z/G35 Cold Air Intake Systems are comprised of a polyurethane intake port, a washable and reusable cotton filter element, and an aluminum venturi ring. The intake draws cold air from outside the engine bay, and the venturi ring is said to act as a velocity stack, speeding up and directing the airflow into the intake chambers. Stillen reports that the intake has an aggressive tone but is unobtrusive at idle or on the freeway. The manufacturer claims an 11 horsepower gain at 6100 rpm on the G35 Sedan and a 5 horsepower bump at 5700 rpm on the G35 Coupe and 350Z.

Doggie TreatsAccording to Ingalls Engineering, the Subaru Impreza WRX and STI are compromised significantly as a result of deflection in the "dog bone" pitch stop engine mount. Their new PowerStick, which replaces the pitch stop mount, is designed to reduce the amount of movement in the powertrain/drivetrain caused by acceleration and torque, increasing power to the drive wheels and better managing loads. They claim that the end results are: smoother power transfer off the line, increased driver confidence through the entire rpm range, and improved performance under hard cornering. Ingalls Engineering currently offers the PowerStick for the 2002-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX and STI, and is working on applications to include all Subaru vehicles, as well as Volkswagen, Pontiac, and others.
