Here's a little trick I learned watching EVO engineers change brake pads. Slide the old pad out and use it as a prybar to push the pistons back into the caliper one at a time. This makes room for thicker, new pads and saves you a trip to the toolbox. The Ferodo pads we used as replacements offer better initial bite, more linear feel, better consistency over a wide variety of temperatures, and they better handle the heat of truly stupid driving.
