The simplest way to determine your final drive gear ratio is to count the teeth or check the ring gear; 49 divided by 12 equals 4.083 for a R200V S13/S14 SR20DET manual. SR Motorcars handled the Nismo unit install as well and it went without much trouble, although it was too much fun to be enamored with testing the external adjustment of the limited-slip differential. Chatter, clanking, and noise-free, the GT LSD Pro has proven to be quite the usable street limited-slip differential as well. We filled the pumpkin with the included 80W-90 synthetic Nismo Versuspeed limited-slip differential oil and then broke in the differential by driving two hours to Buttonwillow Raceway and doing laps. Nismo suggests a break-in of 186 miles at no more than 37 mph. We've done, uh, more than that, and at an angry pace that's a bit faster as well. After another 550 miles on the car, we've only experienced the slightest of clunking when the car is cold and warming up. But once up to temperature, there is nothing from the limited-slip differential except glorious throttle steering. Faster and more fun? Works for us. Hidden within the Nismo GT LSD Pro is the 19mm access head to adjust the initial torque setting. It's possible to leave it on the low setting for street and road course use and then turn it to high for a drift day.Hidden within the Nismo GT LSD Pro is the 19mm access head to adjust the initial torque se Pop off the right side stub axle, stick a ratchet into the pumpkin, and adjust your limited-slip differential trackside. Earl's had everything that we needed, including a thick oil cooler core, billet aluminum remote oil filter mount, billet block adaptor, -10 AN stealth black fittings, and a -10 AN stainless steel hose. Along with cooler temps, we now won't have to worry about reaching under the intake manifold to unscrew the annoyingly hidden stock oil filter. At the suggestion of more than one SR20DET guru, we decided to get a good oil cooler kit t SOURCEBOX Earl's Performance Plumbing Long Beach CA 310-609-1602 www.holley.com SPC Performance www.spcperformance.com K&N Engineering 1455 Citrus Ave. Riverside CA 92502 800-858-3333 www.knfilters.com SR Motorcars 310-516-1003 www.srmotorcars.com Design Motorsports Engineering 626-968-5147 www.dme-power.com M1 Fabrication and Development 714-671-0077 JDM Power 949-855-9174 www.jdm-power.com Mavrik Motorsports 714-523-1896 www.mavrikmotorsports.com Tein N/A www.tein.com Tokyo Auto Repair 714-993-7300 Energy Suspension 1131 Via Callejon San Clemente CA 92673 « | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | View Full Article By SCC Staff Enjoyed this Post?
